Anotha day anotha siren (week 5)

 Hi everyone! This week was good... I got sick halfway through the week which is mega lame but that's okay, you just keep working!! About the subject line... I've been in Seattle for a month now and not a day has gone by where I haven't heard a siren. They are ALWAYS going off. Multiple times a day. But I don't even notice them anymore because I'm so used to it which is kinda sad:(( 

Funny Story: Our friend Hira came to church! She has the cutest 2 little girls but they are wild haha. During the sacrament she was trying to get one of her girls to drink the water from the sacrament. Her little girl was just standing there holding the water cup up to her mouth and looking around with her eyes. Her mom nudges her and goes, "drink it" and in a suuuper loud whisper she goes "IM SCARED!" Hahahaha it was hilarious she was so nervous to drink the water because it is "special water". Anyways the sacrament is an amazing thing don't be scared of it hahah
HIGHLIGHTS
- got the new preach my gospel booooook!!!!
- we talked to a lady and her two front teeth kept falling out during our conversation
- delicious Peruvian food & CHICK-FIL-A !!!
- the beach for a ward bbq woohooo love it there
- fed ducks with the cutest old guy (Greg... a legend)
- zone kickball got intense today
This week when we were planning our day out we said a prayer asking what to do that day. During that prayer, my comp had a prompting that we needed to go to Barnes & Noble which is literally the most random thing in the world. But we got in the car to go there and EVERYTHING was going wrong. We almost gave up but I was like no we have to go because there's a reason we got an impression to go there. We finally get there and only have like 10 minutes but we walk in and figured we'd go to the religion section haha. We find it and there are these two girls just sitting there. Me and my comp looked at each other and just knew that was why we were there. As we approached them, they were the ones that started talking to us!!! Long story short, we got their number and have been in contact with them! 
This experience was a good reminder to me of how important it is to follow our promptings, even if they don't make sense. Barnes & Noble was a bit out of our way and we barely had any time because literally everything was going wrong. Logically, it didn't make sense to go. But I am SO glad we did! Don't doubt the answers you are given and just TRUST GOD!!!!! He knows what he's doing. He knows WAYYY more than we do. Coming out on a mission has not been easy but I know that as long as I am following Him and putting my trust in Him, it will all work out exactly how it needs to:) Proverbs 3:5-6 is a classic but ITS SO TRUE!!!

Island girl (week 19)

  Hiii everyone !! This was a super crazy week.... we had transfers and I got transferred out of mount vernon:( I was so sad to leave because I had only been there for 6 weeks but I had a really cool experience that testified to me that I did what the Lord needed me to do there. I'm so grateful for my time there and all the amazing people I met Nowwww I'm in ANACORTES !!!! YOU GUYS it is the most beautiful place... holy. The pictures dont do it justice. Come visit and see for yourself, you wont regret it. I live about 3 minutes from the ferry terminal and am over all the san juan island branches as well!! We have an apartment on the islands so we get to go out and stay a couple days there at a time. I feel so grateful to be serving the Lord here. My comp is Sister Boris and she is awesome. Shes from Texas and a triplet!! We are whitewashing again which is exciting but also stressful. Definitely takes a lot of time to adjust and meet everyone but its getting better!! HIGHLIGHTS ...

Last week in the mtc ahh

  Hey everyone!! Just finished another amazing week being a missionary. My time at the mtc is almost over... and I fly out to Washington on FRIDAY MORNING AHH!!! Literally like 3 days away what. I swear I just got here. I have seriously LOVED the mtc!!!!!! I'm feeling really excited and really really nervous about leaving and getting out into the field... but ready or not here I go haha My district has become like family to me. All 14 of us do everythinggg together and it's such a blast. Me and my companion are the only ones going to Washington so it's going to break my heart saying goodbye to them this week:( HIGHLIGHTS -Sister Hughes yelling "amen" in the middle of the prayer because she thought it was over -Playing missionary tag on wet grass... im shoked no one got hurt but there were a lot of good face plants -we had a substitute teacher named Mayo -found a zac efron pillow in our residence hall. Best day ever -singing Jesus wants me for a sunbeam for our ope...
