"The spirit of God, like a fire is burning" (week 38)

Hey hey everyone welcome back!!

This week was our mission tour with a member of the 70. Elder McConkie came and spoke to us and it was amazinggg!! I'm so grateful for Him and the direction he gave to our mission!

Buttt the subject line... on Wednesday we had a meeting with him and in the middle of his talk the fire alarm went off. THENNN church was about to start on Sunday and the fire alarm went off there too. We all just had to go stand outside for like 20 minutes!! No fires don't worry, not sure why it went off but it was crazy. That's never happened to me at a church before and then it went off twice in one week at 2 different buildings! 🔥 the spirit must've been so strong this week lol !!!


HIGHLIGHTS from the week !!!

- got into soo many houses to teach this week!

- jordyns (less active member) husband Seth (not a member) got home from deployment and we had a lesson with him AND they came to church sunday !!!

-^^ Seth wore a nice suit to church and an older lady in the ward thought he was one of the elders... she was talking to him about something and he looked so confused 😂 then he goes "um... this is my first time at church. Im not a missionary" so funny

-One of our friends made us taylor swift friendship bracelets for the new album... made our day 

- the elders gave our friend Tess' little boy a blessing because he got a pretty bad burn, and in one night he is already doing so much better. The priesthood is real and blessings work!!!

- ate lots of goldfish and saw some pretttyyy sunsets 😍

Something Elder McConkie talked to us a lot about was the language of the Spirit, and learning what that is for you because it's different for everyone. One of the biggest blessings that has come from my mission is learning how to recognize when the spirit is speaking to me. It is so important!! Figure out how the spirit speaks to you, it will be a big blessing in your life:))

Last week in the mtc ahh

  Hey everyone!! Just finished another amazing week being a missionary. My time at the mtc is almost over... and I fly out to Washington on FRIDAY MORNING AHH!!! Literally like 3 days away what. I swear I just got here. I have seriously LOVED the mtc!!!!!! I'm feeling really excited and really really nervous about leaving and getting out into the field... but ready or not here I go haha My district has become like family to me. All 14 of us do everythinggg together and it's such a blast. Me and my companion are the only ones going to Washington so it's going to break my heart saying goodbye to them this week:( HIGHLIGHTS -Sister Hughes yelling "amen" in the middle of the prayer because she thought it was over -Playing missionary tag on wet grass... im shoked no one got hurt but there were a lot of good face plants -we had a substitute teacher named Mayo -found a zac efron pillow in our residence hall. Island girl (week 19)

  Hiii everyone !! This was a super crazy week.... we had transfers and I got transferred out of mount vernon:( I was so sad to leave because I had only been there for 6 weeks but I had a really cool experience that testified to me that I did what the Lord needed me to do there. I'm so grateful for my time there and all the amazing people I met Nowwww I'm in ANACORTES !!!! YOU GUYS it is the most beautiful place... holy. The pictures dont do it justice. Come visit and see for yourself, you wont regret it. I live about 3 minutes from the ferry terminal and am over all the san juan island branches as well!! We have an apartment on the islands so we get to go out and stay a couple days there at a time. I feel so grateful to be serving the Lord here. My comp is Sister Boris and she is awesome. Shes from Texas and a triplet!! We are whitewashing again which is exciting but also stressful. Definitely takes a lot of time to adjust and meet everyone but its getting better!! HIGHLIGHTS
