Back to SEATTLE (week 64)
This week has been a blur. Time is going too fast. Here's what's been going on!
- TRANSFER NEWS..... IM BACK IN SEATTLE
I started my mission here and I am SO grateful to be back for my last transfer such a full circle moment. I am in one of the wards I was trained in plus 2 other wards. These two other wards cover downtown !!!! I have pike place, the gum wall, and the space needle all right in my area!!! Its super sketch not gonna lie but we are definitely being protected. Missionary work is a dream here though because there are just people outside EVERYWHERE and soo many people to talk to!
I LOVE SEATTLE!!!!
- My new companion is SISTER GRAY and we are training!! It feels too good to be true haha we are already best friends. We are having sooo much fun and can't wait to pick up our new missionary tomorrow!#triotime
- I've already had so many weird interactions on the bus and street and I got here yesterday. I love it
-Yesterday we got to go to lunch with Kito (his baptism was my first day in the mission!!) and have a lesson with a friend me and my trainer found!!! It felt like the best day ever
- on the other hand.... there were soooo many heartbreaking goodbyes this week. I love the people in everett so much
- my last couple days in Everett we saw SO MANY MIRACLES!️ there are 3 AMAZING people that we havent been able to get in contact with for months but my last couple days I was able to see them!! One of them even came to church. Pray for Samantha, Paula, and Laila please
- 3 ward halloween parties this week
- we had a special online devotional with Elder Kyle S McKay! It was super cool
Our mission president shared something with us from President Nelson a little bit ago. I dont remember the exact quote but he said that joy has nothing to do with the circumstances in our lives and everything to do with the focus of our lives.
Yesterday it was especially hard to say goodbye to Sister Shin. She has been the biggest light in my life and I have learned so much from her. I know being in a new culture and learning english was hard for her but she never once complained, and she always worked so hard. She was ALWAYS happy and smiling. I literally didn't know how she did it. But then I remembered that quote from President Nelson. She was a witness to me of that. She was focused on Christ, and so she found joy.
I know that true joy comes from Jesus Christ, and that is true in any circumstance you may be in. I love Jesus Christ and I'm grateful for the joy I find through Him. He makes life so much better
So yeah. Things are going good. God is good. Thanks for reading my emails! I love you all!
