Trio time & feliz navidad (week 21)

 Whats up people?! 


Another week just flew past me holy. I am loving life here in anacortes!! I feel like I was just adjusting to everything in this new area and things were going great and then bam... more change. Ive learned on the mission that i struggle with change but i am learning and growing so much from it. I think this ones gonna be good though:))

I got a new companion last night + more areas haha!! Sister Johnson joined us woohoo! We are now a trio and so far its been a party. We are covering 6 wards and 3 branches together here in oak harbor which is the whole stake. Things are about to get crazy but we're excited and ready to give the Lord our all!!


HIGHLIGHTS

- exchanges with SISTER HOWELL 🥰 literally did not stop laughing the day. I love her so much #mammamia4life

- set off the fire alarms cooking...😐

- fed more deer

- we are learning spanish songs because we're sick of the english ones. I sound so dumb

- did a service for this lady and it was hilarious. She was having us sweep her muddy driveway with a wet broom in the rain. It wasnt a joke either. We were dying. Pic below 

- DECEPTIONS PASS 😆🤩 if you ever get a chance to go DO IT. Literally so pretty there. Cant believe i live her

Wanted to share a cool miracle that happened this week:) something came up that i was having a hard time with and i was praying sooo hard to see a miracle the next day to know that i am where i need to be right now. & GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS
....the next day we ran into this guy named Tyler. It was a miracle and we were in the right place at the right time. Tyler told us that he just picked up a bible for the first time in like 20 years a couple days ago and randomly had a desire to learn. He wants to turn His life to Christ and start going back to church but he didnt know how to do that. He knew that it wasnt a coincidence that God put us in his path that day. Cant wait to start teaching him!! Grateful for these amazing things i get to experience as a missionary and the incredible people i get to meet and help come unto our Savior. 

If you need help, get on your knees. Open up your heart to God. I promise He is there. He will answer you and He can help you 🤍 im so grateful for that answer to my prayer. I know this is where i need to be and im beyond grateful that I followed Gods plan instead of my own to come here and serve:))

  You're gonna wanna read this email😭 This was probably the best week of my mission. And this next week is gonna be even better.  Sooo the sisters that were here before us taught these amazing people... justin and kachie. Justin got baptized in july and his wife Kachie got baptized in september. They have the cutest 3 girls, Gabriella, Eula, and Taima. They are ages 9, 12, & 13. They remind me of me and my sisters and i love them. We started teaching them recently and this last week we had an amazing lesson about baptism with them. What it is, why we do it, and the covenants we make. That day we put their youngest daughter, Taima on-date to be baptized. The spirit was so strong. When I tell you I cried, I actually did. Tears of joy holy I am SO excited. She wanted to be baptized THIS FRIDAY THE 24TH. It's a girl!!!!😲💗 (week 29)

Hey hey people! Thanks for coming back to read another one of my emails First off... TRANSFER NEWS!!!! I'm suuuper excited because I'm going to be training a brand new missionary!! I'm gonna be a mom!!! (mission slang haha) I get to pick her up on saturday and ahhhh I just can't wait to meet her. I'm training her out here on the islands   im so excited and nervous. Buttt I'm stoked to stay here in oak harbor for a bit longer! HIGHLIGHTS !! - we spent valentines dinner with a family in the ward and the husband was gone so they made it a "galentines" dinner for us. It was so cute! - SISTERS CONFERENCE!! all the sisters in the whole mission were there! Sooo fun! It was good to get some girl interaction because we're the only sisters in our whole zone aha -played the tortilla slap game with ysa - some guy in public randomly just gave me a fortune/blessing... "The spirit of God, like a fire is burning" (week 38)

Hey hey everyone welcome back!! This week was our mission tour with a member of the 70. Elder McConkie came and spoke to us and it was amazinggg!! I'm so grateful for Him and the direction he gave to our mission! Buttt the subject line... on Wednesday we had a meeting with him and in the middle of his talk the fire alarm went off. THENNN church was about to start on Sunday and the fire alarm went off there too. We all just had to go stand outside for like 20 minutes!! No fires don't worry, not sure why it went off but it was crazy. That's never happened to me at a church before and then it went off twice in one week at 2 different buildings! 🔥 the spirit must've been so strong this week lol !!!
