IN THE WEM (week 1)

I made it to Washington!! First of all, my pday is usually Mondays but I got to go to the temple this week & that made my pday Wednesday. So that's why this email is coming at you today! But what a week. Flying into Washington was wild and the people on the plane next to me were watching my favorite movies :/ was tempting to watch but I stayed strong hahaha. Washington is SO green. There are about a bizillion trees no joke, they're sooo tall and absolutely everywhere! It makes it so pretty here with the ocean and lakes all around too. Ahhhh I LOVE WASHINGTON!!!!!

President really just threw me right into the deep end because my first area is SEATTLE!!! That's right... I'm a city girl now haha. Living here has been absolutely crazy and I see something nuts every day but it keeps it interesting. Seattle really needs Jesus!
My trainer is Sister Kersey! We joke that we are a companionship made in heaven because we are BEST friends!!! We get along so well and she keeps me laughing all day long. She's from California and has been here for 14 months!! We're working hard and already seeing so many miracles.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Finding people to share our message with at the airport right after our plane landed. Our missionary work literally started right away and we gave our number to a couple people!
- Transfers (when we found out who our trainer was) felt like a NFL Draft
- WENT STRAIGHT TO A BAPTISM after my trainer picked me up!!!! Literally the first thing I had as a missionary was a baptism. Talk about starting it off right. Kito was baptized and he's been meeting with missionaries for 12 years now! Such an amazing thing to watch.
- We gave out a Book of Mormon at Green Lake!
- Seattle temple!!! So pretty and it has escalators in it which is dope
- Popped our tire on the freeway :// we're okay though! God protects his missionaries!!!
- I have so many more highlights but this email is already too long. Just know there were a lot of miracles!!
If there's one thing I've learned in my 5 days of being in the mission field it is PRAY ALWAYS! Prayers work miracles and I can promise you that because I've seen it in my life this week. He's there and He listens. I'm so grateful for the power of prayer!
Thank you for all the texts and emails!! Sorry if I haven't got the time to respond but just know that I've read it and it means the world to me. I love you all!

Jada also said she had to speak her first Sunday at church!
